OK, Hope that wasn’t a setting that I just missed?
How about the other issues from other tickets,
Top Bar Social media links to open in a new window?
News ticker being cut short?
Removing the Author Links. ( still, want the text to appear-just not have it be a link)
Remove the themes’ social media buttons from the Category excerpts.

I was a little confused with what the Hide Author’s Description did, but I figured it out and all is fine there.
WHAT STILL IS A PROBLEM HOWEVER is… The Author & Date meta info. I do want it to show but would love if it didn’t link to anywhere. The problem you have right now is it shows the user name of the author. NOT SECURE at all.
I did an old plugin to change that to the author link to the nickname instead of user name.

I do dislike using plugins so is there a way to turn off that Author’s permalink?
