    everytime when i use the custom excerpt and use the code <a href="<?php echo get_permalink(); ?>"> Read More...</a>

    the above happens. the problem is, is that when i do not use the code above in the custom excerpt, i do not have a Read More button at the bottom of the excerpt.

    how do i fix this ?

    Sorry, We can’t understand what you are trying to do here. We’ve already provided the Read More Button there. Custom Excerpt means ?

    usually your theme will do an automatic cut. i want to do a custom excerpt where it is a specific text. for example

    (full post)
    aaaa
    bbbb
    cccc
    dddd
    eeee

    by default, before the read more it is

    aaaa
    bbbb

    what i want to do is to have

    aaaa
    dddd

    .

    If you want to show custom excerpt, you don’t need to change anything.

    read more double

    why are there two read more ?
