    Can I change the Header area background colour, to be #3b0000? Bfast Mag template colour has grey for this area. =behind the logo and the header Ad.

    Or; Perhaps I could insert a jpg (what size) to go in there if I knew where, what code, and how to add code without it getting wiped the next time the theme was updated.

    Put this code in Appearnace > Customize > Additional CSS

    .tp_header_v2 .inner-header {
    background: #ff4100!important;
    }
