MemberSo I tried to limit the 3-column to 3 items and the mega menu is still not showing.
“About Us” [3-columns mega menu] > 3 sub-items [pages] > 1 sub-sub-item each

MemberI’ve set things back up to exactly like how they should be for you to see. Please also take a look at Minify under Performance and let me know what I have set up wrong. I’m hesitant to try another plugin since things were fine before. Thanks in advance!

MemberWow that’s fast! I see you applied 1 Main item and what you did, but the mega menu is still not showing.
JS, CSS and HTML “auto minify” has been turned off at cloudflare over 19 hrs ago.

MemberOMG…was that it?! =)
Turned off Rocket Loader, reloaded site and the mega menus are back! Thank you x3!
I see you’ve turned off the site’s optimization tho. Is it safe to re-install that service from my host?

MemberAnd I thank you sir!
Should I paste back in the Critical Path CSS back into Autoptimize as per the tutorials?
October 30, 2017 at 1:42 pm #8691Raja CRN
KeymasterDear Vchum,
Yes, You can do that. The Render Blocking CSS caused by one of your Plugin Table Press.
Please use W3 Super cache plugin for optimization. W3 super cache and Autoptimize are enough for your site. Other Plugins may be overkill for you site. This is my opinion.
You can also give Mega Column Titles, see my other Demo Menu in your Appearance > menus
Thank you.

MemberThank you Raja.
By turning off A2 Optimization, even the admin site is loading a lot snappier than before. I have added the Critical Path CSS to Autoptimize and also activated W3 Super Cache and looking to see how to best configure it.
I may actually use you Mega Column Title so that I don’t need a “Archives” page with sub-pages under it.

MemberOne final thing. Almost wrote here before I fixed it. The site serves primarily galleries from FB and stored media. Neither of them worked right after we just added Autoptimize; FB one didn’t follow formatting and the Envira gallery didn’t even show but links were there…it was this and it needed to be enabled as I recall fixing it during my initial troubleshooting:
Let Autoptimize also extract JS from the HTML. Warning: this can make Autoptimize’s cache size grow quickly, so only enable this if you know what you’re doing.

KeymasterHello,
If you feel snappier then enable A2 Optimization. Enable the the Autoptimize option to fix things in Facebook Gallery. Use that for few days and see how it performs.

MemberTo be clear, I get the same GPS score with Autoptimize + WP Super Cache as A20 but A20 made my admin site slower as well. I’ve now deactivated A20 and all other cache and optimization plugin and just keeping the 2 you recommended.

KeymasterHello,
One your Plugin TablePress causing trouble in CSS optimization. Deactivate and clear your cache and test. Also Compress this image and then upload “cropped-cropped-Banner_FB.jpg”. Then Check the Result. It will improve some points.
Also note that some third party scripts like from Facebook lowering your points.
