    Hello,

    Please download the 4.0.1 minor update. In previous version also, we had set the same default image. So, we don’t know, if you have changed it not.

    the site has been customized yes, however the part that was modified was content.php . using this – https://themepacific.com/support/topic/remove-feat-image/#post-4122 .

    If i do put back that code, the blackbox will disappear. however due to the post that i am doing i will need to remove the featured image part.

    So, This is not the theme issue.
    If you remove some section, these things could happen when you don’t customize the overall layout. However, we will try to give you the instructions to clear those issues.
